By Chad Wiley The loss of a pet is a hard time for any pet lover, and dealing with the pain of the loss can be extremely difficult. Pet's friendship is irreplaceable and unmatched. If you are looking for a great way to pay honor to your pet and keep their memory alive in your heart, you may consider a pet urn. They are a wonderful way to keep a loving memorial of your pet, and pet urns come in a wide selection. You can choose between wood, photo, vase, marble, and many other types of urns. I personally like the photo urn because with this urn you are able to place a picture of your pet on the urn, and it is a true reminder of the love shared between the pet owner and the pet. They now have Life-size pet urns that are the actually size, look, and shape of your pet. Whatever type of urn you choose, you can rest assured that you will be able to honor your pet with a lasting memory, and every time you look at the urn will be reminded for of the special moments that you shared with your pet. So, no matter what type of pet you own you have to choice to have a pet urn in their honor. I have a bull mastiff that is like a family member in our home, and I know that if something were to happy to our precious dog that I would want to do something for my family to help them through this hard time. When I lost my best friend Taz. I had her creamated and placed in an urn, I have a picture of Taz and I on the top. I am glad I decided to get an urn I feel as if Taz is closer to me somehow. It seemed a little less lonely |

It is so personal.I don't like to line the pockets of pet urn producers but I can empathize with the need to honor one's koved one.I honr mine in my heart just about daily,as much as I would honor a human of the same status....if a mere human could attain such status! |

I can agree about lining the pockets of pet urn producers. That is why I had Taz cremated at one of our local animal shelters. The money that I paid goes to helping the shelter for such things as spaying, neutering feeding and whatever else may be needed. |

I had three of my animals, one dog and two cats cremated. I couldn't bear to part with them. My dad made nice wooden boxes for them and schlacked (sp) them nicely and put those little wooden hole covers over the screw holes and then I had a nameplates made, the kind they put on trophies, with their names, birth/death dates on them and a little message from me that says "Forever in my mind, Always in my heart". Inside contains their pet cremains and pictures of them and me and a piece of their favorite blanket. They are on my dresser and I say goodnight to them all. My dog was 16 when she died back in 1989 and my cats, Ralf and Bubbay were 18 and 19 respectively. I miss them all so much. |

I had to put my Shadow down last year. I had her cremated & bought a beautiful urn that looks just like her, its a black cat urn, they also gave me a paw print & frame to put her pic in. I went to Petsmatr & made her a tag & put it on a ribbon & placed it around the urn. Every so often I take her down & pet her & let Cuddles kiss her. It cost a lot but I feel she was worth it & I will do the same with Cuddles when the time comes. |

I had my 16 year old dog Bugsy cremated and have her cremains in a lovely wood box on my dresser. I also had a beautiful little mini daschund- Tater- who died in labor along with her puppies. I had them all cremated together and have their box on my dresser too. I plan to have them buried with me or mixed with my cremains after I go so we will all be together. Is that wierd? No matter....We will all be together. |
