This is Bear. His pregnant mom showed up on our doorstep in 1989 and gave us Bear. The rest of his brothers and sisters, as well as his mom, were given to friends after they were all big enough. 

Bear stayed with us his from the day he was born until he died at the age of 18 on October 20, 2007. He had been suffering from kidney failure. He lived a long and happy life with his family and other pets we had along the way.

 

He is now buried in the back yard next to his old dog friend, Fred.
