Blackie

On February 10th 2008 I lost my Blackie. Sweetest little dog you could ever have. She gave me so many years of wonderful moments and memories and was with me through the good and bad. She came to me at the age of 3 full of energy, a bundle of joy, a loss for those who gave her away a wonderful gift to me.
As the years passed and her energy left her I thought it was a good idea to bring her company and this is how Abby came to our home. They became pals and Blackie now knowing she wasn’t alone became more active again. At the age of 10 she became diabetic, my Blackie loved to eat, anything, and it was then that I realized that I could loose her and she became the main focus in the household. She went on a diet, insulin twice a day and she lived 6 more years. Although I love all my pets, Blackie was very special to me. On that Sunday morning after having a seizure at home I took my Big Girl to the vet, little did I know that she would never return home. She was already too sick and her little body just could not handle it anymore, because I love her too much to let her suffer, after saying my goodbyes and thanking her for the wonderful years she gave me my baby was put to sleep in my arms. She will be cremated and her ashes brought back home where she belongs. We all miss her very much and will always love her. |

I understand your loss. I lost my Taz in 2005. I to took her to the vet and didn't she wasn't coming home. I had her cremated and brought her home. I feel better knowing that Taz is playing with Blackie and all the other animals that have left their familes. |

To all of you who have sent messages I thank you very much. Is great to know that I'm not alone, that I'm not the only one who thinks of our pets as family and in some cases better that they are better than humans. I 'm sure all our friends who have passed have crossed the bridge together and are happy and healthy once more keeping eachother company. But I'm also sure I can speak for all of us when I say we will always miss them I know I still feel the void of not having my Blackie with me. Miriam Flapetlover |
