Hi sorry it took so long to get back to you. Summer is a busy time for everyone. I've been doing alot of babysitting for my 3 yr. old grandson. Thats enough to keep you on your toes!! When I'm not doing that I'm done at the cabin. The dogs for some reason don't seem to like it at the cabin. I think they get homesick, really!

Dear Animal Advocates, The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is the agency within the U.S. Department of the Interior that administers America's public lands, including the animals who call this land home. As part of its wild horse management program, the BLM has spent the past several years rounding up wild horses and keeping them in private, long-term holding facilities—which is expensive. Now, the agency wants to euthanize thousands of healthy horses, claiming it is too costly to feed and care for them. The ASPCA encourages the BLM to explore other solutions, including but not limited to reopening additional land for the horses and increasing certain contraception programs that have already proven safe and effective. What You Can Do Please visit the ASPCA Advocacy Center to email a letter to your legislators in the U.S. Congress urging them to oppose the BLM’s plan to kill thousands of healthy wild horses. Thank you for taking action for America's animals.

Hi Maddie, Thanks for adding me to your friends list. I am new and just getting the feel of how it works here. Looks like you lead a very interesting life with all those pets. My dream is to live on a big ranch in Texas so I can have all the pet I want! But,here I am in CA next to the ocean with hardly any yard. Oh well! PJ

Misusing dog-flea control products on cats can spell big trouble. Before flea season starts, check out our helpful advice. Signs commonly seen with permethrin toxicity in cats include tremors, muscle fasciculation, or twitching, and seizures. These symptoms can develop within mere hours, or may be delayed up to two days.If you have used a flea control product and notice that your cat is exhibiting any of the above symptoms, call your veterinarian or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center's emergency hotline at (888) 426-4435 for round-the-clock telephone assistance. For more pet poison prevention tips, please visit APCC online.

FW: Pet rescue Put the word out................ Please take the 20 seconds to do this. Hi, all you animal lovers. This is pretty simple... Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals. It takes less than a minute.. (How about 20 seconds) to go to their site and Click On The PURPLE BOX 'fund food for animals' for FREE. This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising. Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know. http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com AGAIN, PLEASE TELL 10 FRIENDS!!!

eeewwww cement. That is not good. When I was in high school, I used to ride a horse that was kept in Lodi. I had to drive through all this county to get from Stockton to Lodi. I went back 15 years ago and didn't recognize the place, so I decided never to go back and I haven't. I am sort of frustrated with this letter to the SF Chronicle Editor. It has come back twice. I did fax it and now I may snail mail it. Thanks for the reply.

Glad I could help. I would do almost anything for an animal. Have noticed it seems like that those who need programs like this one are always the first to be cut. I hate it that animals are treated so bad by so many people including the goverment. There should be more laws protecting animals and stiffer penalties for abuse.

No I'm not a nurse! I'ld rather sit and drink a root bear! But you gotta do what you gotta do. I think I'ld rather pull stuff out of their mouth than clean up vomit in the middle of the night! It rained so much last night and today that they have no interest in eating wet and mushy.

They do eat grass when their tummys are upset. You just have to make sure they don't eat it all the time. Both Ruby and Tasha are doing fine know. Thank goodness! Tasha still tries to eat whatever she can. When we go outside I end up following her around pulling things out of her mouth. LOTS OF FUN!

That's to bad. I guess you just have to keep looking. I hope something works out. I'm doing fine with the exception of Tasha throwing up in my last night! She has been eating grass. I called my vet about Tasha. She said some dogs will eat anything It's called pica (not sure of the spelling) but it can stop them up. Just the other day they had a dog come in and had to x-ray it. They found the dog stopped up with grass! Now I have to go out with both dogs to make sure they don't eat something they're not suppose to. What can you say?
