If Your Pet Could Talk

How would your pets describe you?
My Daddy is extremely loving and gentle, but very firm when it comes to discipline; if I do something really bad, he makes me go spend time alone in the back lobby, or "my hole," as he always calls it...he knows I hate to be away from his side, even just for a minute! Most of the time he spoils me rotten, and goes to great lengths to ensure my happiness, including having friends and my brother over for play visits. In fact, we just had a play visit from my brother Dash just a little while ago, so Daddy must really be hurting now...I wouldn't be surprised if he went and took a nap soon. Oh yeah...my Daddy's a REALLY GREAT CUDDLER, and he even lets me sleep with him when he's napping on the couch, or when he sleeps on the bed...I'm SO lucky! My Daddy speaks very softly and gently, and he's always kind and nice to everybody he meets, whether they have two legs or four. It's easy to tell that my Daddy has a really big heart, and that he's the kind of person who can never do enough for the ones he loves.

What would your pets say was the first thing they noticed about you?
Tall, dark, and walks funny, and has a very interesting voice, very deep and rich and even a little rumbly! He smells pretty good too, and he seems to know ALL the right places to scratch, pet and rub a dog! Whenever he smiles, it's like the sun suddenly coming out from behind a cloud, and he laughs a whole LOT! When he first showed up at the farm, it was like I couldn't take my eyes off of him...he was just so different from the farmer and his family, and I could tell that this human was very special, so I really wanted to impress him and show him what a great dog I was and make him pick me...and he did!

What would your pets say is the coolest or funniest thing about you?
He can read my mind, or at least it seems like that sometimes! It's like he's figured out how to think just like a dog. He's really great with all kinds of animals, and especially with dogs and cats, even though I get a little jealous when he's being too nice to cats. I think the very coolest thing about my Daddy is that he never, EVER seems to get tired of throwing my frisbee or my tennis balls or my other toys for me...he just loves to watch me run and catch them, and he always tells me what a good boy I am, especially when I actually bring them all the way back! He also keeps mountains of toys around for me, too, so I've always got something new and exciting and different to play with or chase...I think he's afraid I might get bored and start chewing on things I shouldn't, but he doesn't have to worry...he's a good Daddy and he raised me right. I know that he's very proud of me, and I always do my very best to keep him feeling that way. Lately, he's been telling me that I'm becoming "a big movie star on a web site," and he makes it all sound SO exciting that I REALLY wish I knew what "movie star" and "web site" mean! He seems especially proud of how I beat myself up with one of my tire biter toys, the long tube with the rope on the end...he laughs so hard when I do that, I sometimes worry that he's going to fall down, and that only makes me play even harder and go a little crazier and beat myself up even more! I know the laughing isn't meant to be mean, and it always makes him shine when he laughs like that. I think my Daddy is the coolest doggy-daddy in the whole world because his heart is filled to overflowing with love for all fur-babies. He can't help loving us...that's just how God made him, I guess.

What else would your pets tell us about you? Hobbies, interests, ideal match, etc?
I don't like it very much when Daddy plugs his electric guitar into the amplifier, but he doesn't do that very often, and never very loud...he knows how it can hurt my sensitive ears. He lies down on the couch a lot of the time, mostly to watch television or read one of his thousands of books, but that's because he's always in a lot of pain from his bad knees, so he can't spend too much time on his feet without paying dearly for it. Still, he manages to keep me happy, healthy and fit, and I know that he absolutely adores me! I do get a little jealous of the time he spends on his computer though, even though it's never more than a couple of hours a day....when I think he's been on the computer too long, I start nudging him, lifting his hands off the keyboard with my nose...that's my way of letting him know I'd much rather have his hands on ME, instead of that silly computer...after all, it's not like it's ever going to wag its tail, or kiss him, or ever love him back like I do! Still, I know that's how he stays in touch with his human friends, and I also know it's how he arranges for my brother and I to get together to have fun, so I can't complain too much. He enjoys doing things with his hands, like leathercrafting and building model airplanes. My Daddy has very gifted and special hands, very strong but also very sensitive, the kind of hands that can do all kinds of wonderful and amazing things, especially those fantastic ear rubs and tummy rubs that he gives me every day!
