My name is Jim and this is my story.

After my divorce a few years ago I became very involved with my local animal shelter. After a few months I was asked to join the Board of Directors. I joyfully accepted not fully aware of the impact it would have on my social life. I soon discovered that most women were not interested in a guy who spent all his time and money working for charity. It became sadly obvious that I was going to have to give up what I loved doing or be willing to be alone. I chose alone.

A year later I was on the phone with my mother and told her that dating was hopeless for me. Friends and co workers would set me up now and then, but no one understood my passion for the animals.
