Hello....

Last Thursday 4/24/08 we put our beloved "Woobie" to sleep.  It was hard for us to let him cross the Rainbow Bridge but we could not let him be in any pain.  Woobie was diagnoised with mouth cancer (I hate that word) in November of 2007.  We had the surgery done to remove the tumor but we knew it would come back, and it did.  We had our Woobie for another 5 months and it was the best time.  Woobie was like a litlte (17lbs.) dog, he would follow me around the house all day and of course he had his place on my pillow at night.    I have worked for a Veterinarian for MANY years and it is so hard when it is one of your own that you bring to work.  Our Veterinary staff is the greatest and our Doctors are the best guys in the world.  Our Woobie had lost almost 1/2 his body weight in that 5 months but he still had all the love he could give.   Woobie's ashes will be returned to us in a few weeks and we will bury him under his favorite rose bush.  I love Woobie boy and will miss him dearly as will his sister Punnie and his Corgi brother Tucker.

So sorry. Losing someone you love is so hard. Just know Woobie had a family to love him and had a good life.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved Woobie.  It's a hard thing to do, but this poem had always helped me when it was time for that decision.

So sorry.  I lost my pitbull Lucy to cancer March 1.  We had battled all types of cancer for almost a year.  On top of that she had pemphigus.  But she was a trooper till the end.  We knew when it was time to stop putting her through operations, chemo, etc., etc.  To have done any more would have been for us, not her.  She is in front of her favorite window now and I still miss my BFF so much.  We all do the best we can for them and they know it.

So sorry for you loss. Our cat Bubba had the same  thing at 13 yrs. 2 years ago .We also  had it removed once and then it grew back aggressively and they told us that it might. She was very healthy other then the tumor. Sincere sympathy to you. We all miss our kitty, know how you must feel.
