| Halle you are new and some of us who have been here longer were not sure of the exact guidelines. I know we cannot advertise anything, sometimes adds get stuck on a song we post. We are just now being told to watch language more so and content. You are very safe there so far in your talk. Kelly | | | |

| Kelly thank you for you kind words. I know that I have been posting song lyrics since joining this forum. So I am going to surprise you all with some poetry that I have written. So here it is
I DO
When I looked in your eyes And said the words "I Do" That meant that I would forever love you. For better, for worst Till death do us part, I give you my all I give you my heart. In good times and bad times I'll stand by your side to love and encourage you by these words I abide. I pray that our love will last for eternity long. And that our marriage forever stays strong. I have been truly blessed with someone like you, I love, I love you, I love you I Do.

| Is it Hallie or Halle? I will have to read back. You do sound like you have a happy marriage and a good life. One day I hope to have kids also, how old are yours? Kelly | | | |

| I'm not sure if you guys have seen this poem before but it made me sooo sad
Baggage By Evelyn Colbath From the Shelter Dog
Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed, All nicely tucked into warm new bed, Lest I forget, There is so much to carry - So much to regret.
Hmm . . . Yes there it is, Right on top - Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss. And there by my leash hides Fear and Shame.
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave - I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.
I loved them, the others, the ones who left me. But I was't good enough - for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage? Will you help me unpack? Or will you just look at my things and take me right back?
Do you have the time to help me unpack? To put away my baggage to never repack?
I pray that you do - I'm tired you see.
But I do come with baggage -
Will you still want me?
Evelyn Colbath

| Thank you Kelly Glad you enjoyed. To answer your question I have a son who is going to be eight years old in a couple of weeks, and a daughter who just turned six. My hubby and I would like to have one more before we get any older. They are such a joy. | | | |

Jukeitz old buddy you are most welcome and no one in this post would ever put anyone down for posting anything, just be sure it does not need to be censored. All are welcome to post here as long as they abide by the rules of the site. I need to travel for a few days but I would like to leave these lovely ladies in your capable hands for safekeeping. I am very close to a couple of them as I recall and it seems like they were blonde, but I could be wrong about that. Be especially careful of Ivet and Jennifer. They are big city girls and have some ways about them that your mommy probably never warned you about. You may well be just a tattered remnant of a man when I return but such is life. Post something about little fluffy kittens wearing pink ribbons peeking over the top of a wicker basket and you will be in like flint. Women like that sort of thing. Just remember these words by Antoine de Saint Exupery, You are forever responsible for that which you tame. (It applies to people just as it does to animals.) Greg PS....Ivet that was a lovely poem, thanks for sharing hon.

| Why Chris, what a lovely thing to mention . I go by JJ or Jane, (Jane is my middle name). Tell us about yourself? We end up flirting with Greg a lot because he is single and our age but it is great to have you involved also. My best friend is on the site (Kelly KR1982) and I have known her since college. This post has nothing to do with background or education. You can talk about movies you like or even tv shows, it really does not matter. It is just a positive place to express ourselves and we hope to keep it that way. We spend more time on music I think and most everyone has a favorite artist or group. My field is art history and one thing you learn, in any art form, music, literature, whatever what appeals to one might not appeal to someone else but you should respect the other person's right to form an opinion and appreciate his love for what he or she prefers. The same holds true with animals, some love dogs, others cats, others fish etc., it may not be your ideal pet but you respect the other persons right to choose and love what they wish. JJ | | | |

| Welcome Chris!! What a lovely and original thought about the kittens lol. I am more apt to like little yellow puppies sitting in a red wagon myself but each to their own. Maybe some day you can make it up here for our yearly St Patricks day party, but we have been known to have other get togethers as well. I do not think you live all that far away so it is great to see you join in some. A little Tom Waits... Misery Is The River Of The World lyrics
Misery's the River of the World
Misery's the River of the World
The higher that the monkey can climb
the more he shows his tail
Call no man happy 'til he dies
There's no milk at the bottom of the pail
God builds a church
The devil builds a chapel
Like the thistles that are growing
'round the trunk of a tree
All the good in the world
You can put inside a thimble
And still have room for you and me
If there's one thing you can say
About Mankind
There's nothing kind about man
You can drive out nature with a pitch fork
But it always comes roaring back again
Misery's the River of the World
Misery's the River of the World
Misery's the River of the World
For want of a bird
The sky was lost
For want of a nail
A shoe was lost
For want of a life
A knife was lost
For want of a toy
A child was lost
Misery's the River of the World
Misery's the River of the World
Everybody Row!Everybody Row!
Misery's the River of the World
Misery's the River of the World
Everbody Row!Everbody Row!
Everbody Row!

| Thanks for posting that song Kelly. Well wanted to let you guys know that you probably won't here from me over the next two weeks. I will be leaving for Italy on Monday. I was suppose to leave on Thursday, but my brother came down from L.A. so I had to change my flight for a different day. I will be taking my lap top so I will try to log on whenever I can and if I can. I will be spending a lot of my time with family and mountain biking some of the coolest trails. So I may not be logging in for a couple of days. Have fun and behave yourselves | | | |

A song for you, Fire in your eyes, a promise of true love and protection
but in your mind, necessity of getting your way.
Tradition disguised. Suspicion and lies.
Selfish desire, you're looking for maternal perfection.
Oh what a shame, it's something you cant get on you're own.
You want me gone but you want me to stay.
And you need my absolution, for the sins you wont confess.
Chorus
Sing low, so no one hears you and sing high, making me cry
I hear something when wrapped in your arms..
An Italian song of Love.
Who can resist a show of such apparent devotion?
Could there exist, a love of such unfaltering strength?
Convinced of a dream, denying a scheme
And you need my absolution, for the sins you wont confess.
Chorus
Sing low, so no one hears you and sing high, making me cry
I hear something when wrapped in your arms..
An Italian song of Love.
Sing low, help me remember how you loved making me cry
Now I hear only echoes and whispers,
An Italian Song of Love. Kelly

| Kelly, the puppies are sitting in the wagon next to the basket holding the kittens..... JJ, As I shared with Greg, I am your basic "blue-collar" guy. I work heavy/highway construction as an equipment operator. I pale in comparison to you all considering I only have a couple yrs. of higher education. The lack of funds led me to the trades which is were I am at now. I love what I do and hope to someday move towards the civil engineering aspect of what I do. chris | | | |

| Chris, there is nothing wrong with being a blue-collar guy . ( I have dated a couple). You are most welcome and I hope you have been made to feel that way. Literature and music are not in my background, they are just things I enjoy, hobbies. It is the same with most of us in here and we like the people and chatting back and forth of course. Jen knows much more about music but she studied journalism I believe. Greg is the most well read but his training is in business and architecture. Enjoying a movie, or music or a good book or artwork has little to do with education or background. If you or anyone felt ill at ease because of education, you should not. We would not put anyone down because of that and of course we should not be subjected to ill feelings because we like a song or poem. The most important thing is how you treat people and I certainly hope I have made you feel welcome. Hold on tight to your dream
Hold on tight to your dream
When you see your ship go sailing
When you feel your heart is breaking
Hold tight to your dream.
Its a long time to be gone
Time just rolls on and on
When you need a shoulder to cry on
When you get so sick of trying
Just hold tight to your dream
Chorus:
When you get so down that you cant get up
And you want so much but youre all out of luck
When youre so downhearted and misunderstood
Just over & over & over you could
Accroches-toi a ton reve
Accroches-toi a ton reve
Quand tu vois ton bateau partir
Quand tu sents -- ton coeur se briser
Accroches-toi a ton reve.
Repeat chorus:
Hold on tight to your dream
Hold on tight to your dream
When you see the shadows falling
When you hear that cold wind calling
Hold on tight to your dream.
Oh, yeah
Hold on tight to your dream
Yeah, hold on tight...
To your dream. This ELO song probably says it better than I could about following dreams. JJ

| I've been reading alot of Maya Angelou's books lately and wanted to share one on Love:
Touched by an Angel
We, unaccustomed to courage exiles from delight live coiled in shells of loneliness until love leaves its high holy temple and comes into our sight to liberate us into life.
Love arrives and in its train come ecstasies old memories of pleasure ancient histories of pain. Yet if we are bold, love strikes away the chains of fear from our souls.
We are weaned from our timidity In the flush of love's light we dare be brave And suddenly we see that love costs all we are and will ever be. Yet it is only love which sets us free.
