I am admitting that I have no chance against the rest of you considering I get the bulk of my daily literary intake from the sports section of the newspaper and from blueprints, stakes, and specs......

Charlee that is a wonderful quote. As a nurse I have witnessed death far too often and it is especially sad when people or animals die young. Even though the quote came from a TV show, it is a good one and very true.

Some of us took an early flight back but the mountains were great.  Banff is such a pretty area. We did get some rain but the temperature did not drop too much. I will let the others talk about the big climb up a mountain.

Three days is not nearly enough time to enjoy the Canadian Rockies so next time I will shoot for a week to ten days. I have to give credit to JJ, all those hours in the gym must have paid off, my legs are killing me and I run right at ten miles a week but that is on relatively flat ground. I loved the cool days and cooler njights. There is nothing like a fireplace at night with great company, great food and fine wine.

We do have a Love_MY_Pets who posts here all ready, a lovely lady named Ivet from California who recently had a mishap on a mountain bike.

Charlee, next time I head up north I will try to give you more notice, we had a great time. I love the Colorado rockies but I am not sure they have the lakes and valleys between the mountains like you see in Canada.

Chris that quote is a definition of persistence that is oftentimes taught in courses on success. Another is:

Compassion Resolve to be tender with the young, understanding with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant with the weak and wrong... because sometime in your life you will have been all of these.

I love that definition also.

I am sure you will get at least one vote Chris, I hope Cacky just announces the winner and does not give a tabulation because I might not get any votes either. We should do this again and see who can write the saddest pet story or the most cheerful pet story so there will be more chances for each of us.

I do want to take time to thank Greg for a wonderful few days. I hope to make it back to Canada one day.

Chris dear, I am about to vote on my favorite love note post and you did try so hard. My memory is a little foggy and I doubt I have time to reread them all, you did write the one about the little stone building and the couple who kept a stone as a momento right? I am sure that story will garner some votes. Seriously I did like Kelly's idea and we should try this again with an easier subject. I think a fun subject might be to try to select five pet names you would like to use in the future, and they we vote on who made the cutest list. When I say pet names, I mean names you would select for pets, not sweetie, honey, dearest etc.   We might get more response with a topic like that anyway.

Cacky you are scorekeeper but you do have the same rights as anyone so please feel free to vote if you like. In case of a tie I hope you jump in lol.

Greg thanks for inviting me this weekend, I am so sorry you and Kelly had to rush back so early but it was a wonderful trip and I loved Canada. You won the canoe race but I held my own on the hike so it ended with a tie as I see things.
