This is a follow up to funny how visual it is. Some of you got it others did not. Newfs got it so you should read her post.

The more information you post the more it can be used against you. My experience was thru no fault of my own. I can thank my bank for losing all my personal info.

So to all of you who post your info beware, your pic your marriage status all can be used against you. So before you pass judgement on what is on a profile or not think about it.

To those who doubt who i am ask me for info and i pic and if i think it is ok i will let you have it.

So untill you walk a mile in my shoes, please do not judge.

Thank you

Speed it certainly does not hurt to be careful. I have been cautious myself since my early days on the site but for other reasons. I told a woman where my place of business was and she proceeded to show up there for several weeks asking for me. I tried to be cordial at first but after a while it just became annoying.  From that point on I have been very selective in what info I give out and to whom. I have met many from AA and have not had any bad experiences since but one time is enough.

I hope people do know not to go into Yahoo chat with people you do not know. I have always been told MSN is more secure but I am no expert.

Speed,

Members have asked me for as long as I have been on this site  (a looong time) why I have never posted much about myself on my profile. I never did for a GOOD reason. Just like when I see someone post their real email address or their telephone/cell number such a dangerous thing to do!

I add enough just to be interesting...but not enough to be stalked.

I'm with you Speed...definitely understand. Like I said, it's people's choices and you have learned how to weed out the people who you want to talk to and who you do not.

We all have our own weed wacking methods...and I am not telling mine.

Good luck hon!

Speed....

ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with being careful and only providing information about yourself that makes you comfortable.  If people are pressuring you for more information than that, they need to back off.  In this day and age, I would rather be safe than sorry.  Plus, you always have the option of giving that information via private email, SHOULD YOU CHOOSE!!  And, remember it is always your choice.

On the other hand, a good nudie shot helps build up the Pet Pals.....KIDDING!!!!

Any information I put up won't come back to haunt me. Want my social security number? I will gladly give it to anyone because the only thing they will be able to do is make it better. LOL

Tammy if I remove you as a pet pal will you then send the nudie shot? I must have missed it on the first go around.

I did feel pressured here at one point to provide my business name and exact location. I was trying not to offend but I really did not know the people that well who were asking for it.

I do have a story about such things. On a different site I once bought some items from a ladies father out of Canada, it was all quite innocent and of course I gave her all of my information. Later she started dating a guy who was psychotic, (and not in a nice way), and he would freak if anyone so much as said hello online to his new girlfriend. (I have been known to say hello to good looking women.)  Eventually this guy decides he hates me and gets my address from his new girlfriend. (She seemed to be a friend but one just never knows.)He then posts all of my info on a very large website and threatens to show up at my door and kill me.(and not in a nice way). This all came about from an innocent purchase and trusting a woman I thought I knew. He never showed up of course but it did cause me to get a personal protection permit and keep a loaded gun in easy reach. The moral is, even if you trust someone, you cannot always trust their associates.

Anyway now I only trust blondes, I have found they are much safer, we each do have our own methods of weed control.

Greg

Jan, this is quite the debatable question. Most blondes are bottle blondes. The genetic strand for natural blonde hair is wearing ever thinner and thinner and is thought to be soon extinct. So if I dyed my hair would I really have more fun? Or just burn my scalp?

Oops, I need spell check lol. It should now read gun.

I think blonde from a bottle works, the chemical has a kind of cleansing effect but then, that is just my theory.

It is nice to see both of you lovely ladies again by the way.

I'm married, so my crazy antics are not valid anymore. LOL. And I never stalked anyone either. Or gave out personal information. So Greg is DEFINITELY not talking about me. PHEW! Yea, I had to take a crack at you with the loaded guy thing. That was just too funny.

Meg it certainly was not you and no I would not take offence, it was a cute comment. I do not see the person I mentioned on AA anymore and the ID is gone. I said little when she was still here.

and it wasn't me either greg!!

i think meg and i will just keep our hair nice and dark, and not risk the bleaching effects or burning scalp effects...that has to do something to the brain i think...lmao

Good plan Janeen, I know for a fact there have been some exceptions to Greg's rule although he does seem partial to blondes. I think it is a guy thing.

Thanks for posting this Speed, it does make sense to be careful. There are too many crazies running around out there. I only use a nickname here or my middle name. I did see someones full name in a post recently but it may have been by accident. I keep meaning to email her about it but she probably knows it is there.

I'm with Meg and Cosnow....btw HI to the two of you! Miss you both!

I went carmel blonde streaks one summer...and ummm by the end of the summer the colorist did something funky and didn't add low lights to the high lights...so my entire hair was BLONDE.

Asian and blonde...ummmm DO NOT MIX. At least not with my coloring...some asians look awesome with blonde hair. I just can't pull it off.

I will keep my natural black hair.

And Speed, the more that I think about it...I am with you. I should know better with having had identity theft done on me twice...thanks for the reminder to be careful!!!

Thank you everyone for the warning about posting too much info, I just deleted a lot of info from my profile. I really enjoy this site, only been on a month and just went to chat a couple of times, I wondered what happened to it.
