| Last night my sweet and beautiful baby Shasta, a 13 year old ruddy Abyssinian, went to sleep forever. He was diagnosed with lymphoma in March. He did his very best to hang on, even while his mommy had to travel for work. I was afraid he might slip away while I was gone, but he waited for me to come home and spend one last precious week with him. He loved chasing flying birdie feathers on a string, but his favorite pasttime was keeping his mommy's lap warm as often as possible. There will never be another kitty like him. He was the best ever. And he is terribly missed, but I know he's at peace now which is what is most important. pets.ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/feline_lymphoma/photos/view/6cae | | | |

| Sorry to hear about your baby Shasta I am sure you shared a wonderful life together, and you will always have those memories in your heart. Losing a pet is the hardest part of loving them.

| Thanks. My only consolation is that I know he's not in pain anymore. But, you're right. It's not easy. | | | |

| | Thanks, that's very sweet. I'll go and look up for him in the sky before I go to bed tonight. I'm sure he's shining as brightly up there as he did down here. | | | |

| | So sorry. I am facing the same thing right now with my 17 year old kitty Mittens. She has good days and then bad but I know it won't be long before she will be in a better place. We have been through alot of things together . Take comfort in the Bridge, thats where I know I will meet up again with all my loved ones. | | | |

| | Hopefully you will have the strength to do what is best for Mittens when the time comes. I found that this was one of the most difficult decisions that I have ever had to make. But when you a pet parent, I guess you know when they are ready to go. And eventually I know the pain will get easier to handle. Good luck to you and to Mittens! : D | | | |

| Thanks and yes I know I have that decision to make. I think just like you that she may go when I 'm at work or traveling. So hard to give her up. My other pets will miss her for sure . They already know she is having problems. Thank you for your support. This is a tough time for you. I have had to put down 3 other pets in the past and it is always so hard. I took their loss worse then some people, which is sad , but they are my family. But thanks again and hang on. You will find another to love and take care of at the right time. | | | |
