Last week the ASPCA mobilized a team of experts to help in the relief efforts following Hurricane Ike.Volunteers included veterinarian, veterinary technicians, disaster responders and sheltering professionals.

OMG!!! I can't beleive that many people would leave that many animals behind, It's just not right! I don't think if they can't take them if the people have to evacuate, they shouldn't have the right to have a pet, they are just like people, they DO have feelings!!

That just makes me sick to my stomach. How could anyone leave there animals behind? Thats just sick and wrong. I cant wait to see the special on Animal Planet either! I would love to adopt every last one of the dogs that were left behind...but alas, i cannot...though, what I can do is adopt one of them! I seriously want to! Im not sure how to go about it. Anyhow, I really hope that everything turns out okay for all those sweet innocent animals.

The horse looks horrible. I do not believed that the loss weight was because of hurricane Ike. This should be investigated. It would take a long time for him to get emaciated.
