Who ever thought that the time would come when animals needed an online dating service?
It seems that technology has hit the zoo circuit and the studbooks zookeepers use to find prospective mates are going digital, making it easier and faster to pair up young lovers.
"The databases containing information on sex, age and weight - not so much about favorite comfort foods or long walks on the beach - are used by more than 200 zoos nationally and some internationally. They're practically taking the place of Mother Nature in the not-so wild world of captive animal breeding."

It sounds like they are trying to do the right thing for the animals. I'm all for doing what we need to do to keep them here on the planet with us. Kind of romantic that they have a dating service or sorts...;)
