Re: ASPCA on 'Animal Witnes'
As a Virginian I've wanted to go to his trials, however, was convinced by friends that I'd be the one behind bars! The Victory Dogs are wonderfully cared for and have come so far. See just what a little TLC can do....

This is great! Also catch Dog Town on National Geographic. Best Friends is taking care of more than 40 of the Vick dogs.

People need to realize these dogs are great. The dog is the only doing what some person taught him to do.

Re: ASPCA on 'Animal Witnes'
I am looking forward to watching this, and also the Dogtown special on the NatGeo channel. I believe some of Michael Vick's dogs are there, and doing well. He really helped to solidify the horrific rep that pitbulls have. It is the owner, not the dog. I've had several very loving and gentle pits, yet somehow, through instinct perhaps, they know when they have to step up to the plate to protect you, and they do, and would give their lives for family if it meant keeping you safe. I'm so happy that the dogs have gone on with their lives. No dog deserves to live suffer this plight.

Re: ASPCA on 'Animal Witnes'
I watched "Animal Witness" last night. I thought it was fantastic. I am very excited about the series. It did my heart good to see the outcome for most of the dogs. The plight of the pitbull is something we should all be ashamed of. I was very impressed that the Feds got involved when they did or I believe he would have escaped responsibility. I recently helped a friend find a shelter that would take a pit she found roaming in her neighborhood. He is quite young, quite beautifu (gray brindle with blue eyes, and really just a big pup. Most shelters refused him because they just can't seem to find homes for them. Fortunately, my local shelter was willing; and they are a no-kill shelter. We pray we spared him from falling into the hands of someone who would do evil. I hope the series on Animal Planet and others will heighten the awareness of pitbulls plight, and other homeless cats and dogs. When is the Dogtown special on, if anyone can tell me? Thank you.
