I just adore Rachael Ray so I was totally excited to hear about her new line of pet food inspired by her cutie pup Isaboo. Yumm-o!

And since she's so fabulous, Ms. Ray is donating a portion of profits from Nutrish to Rachael's Rescue, the group she founded to help pets in need. A-mazing!

Re: Nutrish!

I don't know if there are pet stores where samples are available, but the product is available at grocery stores. There are small and large bags, as well as treats.

Re: Nutrish!

I have seen it at Wal-mart. The ingredients look good- I am glad Rachel put her name on something that is good quality but also reasonably priced. Plus the name is so cute ("Nutrish")....

Re: Nutrish!

I loved her show that she devoted all to dogs!!!! She had some wonderful information on there concerning food and other things. I will for sure try her dog food out.

Re: Nutrish!

reading over the ingredients, corn and soy, very unhealthy for dogs, they can not digest it very well, think about it, what happens when we humans eat corn!!!!!!!!!!!!!! corn is not good for the kidneys, either is soy, they are also cancer agents, to our fury loved ones.........to understand about commercial foods, go www.livinghealthypeopleandpets.com and watch the vidoe, you will be appalled with the commercial side of dog food,

Re: Nutrish!

I love Rachael so much.
But, unfortunely, corn meal and corn gluten is not healthy for dog.
It is a filler that is cheap to buy.
I had one dog very allergic to corn.
And it is called a heat food in the horse, animal world. It helps trap heat in the organs. Too much corn can kill a horse and cause much suffering in the stomach.
When, we look at those cute little bags, we see cute veggies on the bag. It is an eye candy for us thinking that oh it has veggies it must be good. I buy royal canin for german shepherds. But their other lines have corn in them.
I don't know, I just have a big thing about the corn. I have problems with coats, allergies and such.
I just found a real good food I use on the track. It is Natural Balance. Potato and Duck. My dogs tear it up.
no corn
And I just brought home a sample of Evanger's super premium Chicken with brown rice. no corn.
Royal Canin is up to 50.00 so I picked up more of the natural balance which is costly. I saved a couple of dollars at petco.
The price of gas is driving things up terribly.
I bought the natural balance beef roll and I usually buy the largest roll. Dogs go crazy over it. It last a long time with tracking. I use it for at least three good size tracks.
Above muppy, yep, corn comes right out looking well, like corn. You're right. Corn has no nutritional value, ask a doctor.
It is very hard food. Alot of farmers feed pig corn. Because it holds heat in the body. A pig will freeze to death out in their little shelters with straw crammed in there for warmth. Farmers can feed hundreds of pigs fairly cheap with their homegrown corn. A pig can tolerate corn also. And they are usually sent off to market because they grow very fast.

Re: Nutrish!

I think it is interesting she is putting her name behind so many products...but it's a good way for her to make money, I guess. Sure, I like watching her show some times and making a few modified versions of her recipes but I don't need to buy a product line of anything just because a celebrity can put her name on it. I'd prefer to not put my dog through the stress of a food change if her current diet is already great. So, be careful and check the ingredients before you run off the purchase something because it might be popular.

Re: Nutrish!

Not only is Nutrish! full of ingredients that are unhealthy for dogs....corn meal, soybean meal, corn gluten meal, animal fat......but Rachael Ray's website includes recipes for home cooked meals for dogs that include ingredients like onions and avocados that can be DEADLY! Ms. Ray and her people have not done their homework and have put the health and safety of her fans pets at stake. Shockingly irresponsible!
