As a self proclaimed crazy dog lady I admit to having a fondness for dog art. If I see a piece of art (loosely used term) portraying a pointer I pretty much have to have it. I have been perusing sites for whimsical dog art, and have a friend with several nice pieces of this genre of art. I even hauled a reproduction piece of dog art back from Baltimore several month ago.
Of course, there isn't as much pointer art as there is say labrador art. My collection does include a tee shirt, lab ball cap that has been chewed on by a lab, lapel pin, dog bank and a resin statue. I think dog books also qualify on some level as dog art.
I'm thinking of making a few bracelets with dog related beads and charms to donate to our rescue group for fund raisers. This too is art, plus it benefits the dogs. How could I go wrong.
I have a few friends who I give dog related things too, and they gladly reciprocate. This explains the bowl I have that says "Everything is better with a little dog fur in it". So, so true.
I guess if I can't be spending money on my dogs, I'll be spending money on dog stuff. And that stuff is art. Maybe I'll call it my Art of Bark Collection. Or the Woof Series of Rare and Amusing Art. Or Canine Classic decor.
So many possibilities.

Re: Dog Art
I'm an "art" collector too. I find a lot of great stuff on Ebay. Try Animal Art, Pointer Art, and Pointer. I obviously have pugS and I've found some awesome stuff. Good luck!!!

Re: Dog Art
Hi Labdp, Im an artist, & I used to do the art show curcuit - had to give it up for health reasons. Anyhow, the name of my business was ARTBARKS, specializing in pet portraits. I still get mail addressed to Mr. Art Bark. Check out my work at sharperart.org (under Terry Sciko)
