On rainy days you have to pull out all the stops. I mean, what's a dog to do? All that energy, and no where to run without wearing hip waders.
I pulled out the good bones today. The raw meaty leg bones we get from the store and keep in the freezer. Oh ya, some serious gnawing there. Keeps them occupied for several hours all for the bargain price of less than $4. Plus, you can reuse the bones and stuff them with peanut butter, or mashed potato's, or cheese. Fill 'em with goodies and stick them in the freezer. Voila - more yummy chewing.
I can't remember who told me about raw meaty bones. I owe them a debt of gratitude. Who ever it was, where ever they are - thank you, thank you, thank you!!
My pack would surely say, if it has to rain, let it rain bones. And let them be full of yummy marrow to work on. Sometimes they need to release of just chewing. Heck, even people are like that (well, the serious snackers like me are).
A satisfied dog is a good dog. And on muddy paw days (and nights), nothing keeps them happier. And that's the bone-fide truth.

Re: Rainy Days and Dog Bones
FW: Pet rescue
Put the word out................ Please take the 20 seconds to do this.
Hi, all you animal lovers. This is pretty simple... Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals.
It takes less than a minute..
(How about 20 seconds) to go to their site and Click On The PURPLE BOX 'fund food for animals' for FREE. This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising. Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know. http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com
AGAIN, PLEASE TELL 10 FRIENDS!!!
